Established in 1996 by the digital librarian and computer engineer, Brewster Kahle, The Internet Archive is a non-profit digital library that provides free access to millions of books, movies, music, software, and websites. As one of the largest Internet sites focused on digital content preservation, Arkadiy Kukarkin  shares the methods and techniques that the team has been deploying in order to ensure petabytes of data remain decentralised and accessible.

Biography

Arkadiy Kukarkin is a  multi-disciplinary practitoner interested in the relationship between creative labor and reward, the nature of value, and in designing systems that support expression without compromising intent. His describes his personal artistic practice as eclectic, ranging from algorithmic video to food science.
