Biography
UBERMORGEN is an artist duo created in Vienna, Austria, by lizvlx and Hans Bernhard. Their work takes many forms including conceptual art, software art, pixel painting, installations, Net.Art and digital actionism (media hacking). Over the years their unique approach has provide disruptive and thought provoking insights into the fields of (international) rights, democracy and global communication. UBERMORGEN have exhibited worldwide in museums, galleries and biennials including MUMOK Museum of Modern Art, Vienna; MACBA, Barcelona; ARS Electronica, Linz; SFMOMA, San Francisco; Witte de With, Rotterdam; Centre Pompidou, Paris; New Museum, New York, NTT ICC Museum, Tokyo; McCA Taipei; Lentos Kunstmuseum, Linz, WRO Media Art Biennale, Wroclas and Prague; Sydney and Gwangiu Biennales. They have received numerious prizes and awards such as ARCO Beep, Swiss Art Award, Ars Electonica and IBM New Media. “Ubermorgen” is the German word both for “the day after tomorrow” and “super-tomorrow”.
