Presentation

Lydia was commissioned to shot the people who run the public business (restaurants, bars, hairdressers, venues) on WeichselStr, Friedrichshain as part of Urban Host’s, 10th anniversary (2023) in Berlin. Images created formed part of the WE WORK HERE exhibition, which took across the following business on WeichselStr: restaurants China Restaurant Shanghai and Kane Man, Kiosk, Orbit Studio, Peggy Bee Cafe, hairdressers Head over Heels and SAKAI, Berlin Textile CoOp, Panenka Bar and Studio 34a. 

Biography

American photographer, Lydia Goolia has lived and worked in Berlin since 2013. Born and raised on the scenic waterways of the Puget Sound, Washington, Lydia is an explorer at heart, with a deep love and curiosity for the natural world. Her photographic work focuses on editorial, studio, environmental portraiture and commercial projects. She currently seeks to collaborate with persons or companies that take environmental and social responsibility seriously.
