Biography
Regina Sipos is a researcher and founder of the Berlin-based social enterprise Social-Digital Innovation. Working across the fields of critical making, technology design, community and social innovation, Regina’s experience bridges grass-root community-centred innovation in both north and global south contexts. An experienced advisor, designer and consultant, Regina has worked for companies and organisations such as the United Nations, Ashoka Germany, FCDO UK, BMZ/GIZ Germany, ITU, CERN, Ars Electronica and other entities on participative methods and digital development. Regina holds a PhD from the Technical University, Berlin (2022) where her work focused on intrinsic and critical technology design and innovation in grassroots communities. She currently leads on the Europe-funded project, Critical Making.
