Colin Self

Colin will be presenting his work on group singing, queer family and community organisation in city contexts.
Biography
Colin Self is an artist and composer based in Berlin, Germany. He creates music, performance, and environments for expanding consciousness, troubling binaries and boundaries of perception and communication. Colin has presented work at The Dutch National Opera, The Hammer Museum, The Kitchen NYC, and HAU Berlin, amongst many other festivals and venues. In 2016 he toured internationally with Radiohead as 1/3rd of the Holly Herndon A/V Trio. This year he premiered Siblings at Donau Festival, the sixth and final opera from The Elation Series, a sequential project about queer family and transfiguration. Colin received his MFA from the Bard Milton-Avery Program in 2017 and runs a non-utilitarian choir internationally. Colin is currently writing his second record to be released on RVNG in Summer 2018.
